Acuerdos y relaciones nacionales e internacionales

    At national level

    Agreements hace been stipulated with:

    • CIPDH Argentina International Centre for the Promotion of Human Rights, belonging to the Ministry of Justice of the Argentine Republic

Two agreements were stipulated with the Centre, one a framework agreement and the other a specific agreement. In 2023, the President of the National University of La Plata (UNLP), Martín López Armengol, signed a collaboration agreement at the Rector’s Office with the Executive Director of the International Centre for the Promotion of Human Rights (CIPDH), Fernanda Gil Lozano, to jointly implement projects.

Also participating in the meeting were the Secretary of Institutional Relations of UNLP, Javier Mor Roig, and the Director of the UNESCO-UNLP Chair, Francesco Vigliarolo.

According to the text of the agreement signed, “both institutions will promote the development of programs for the joint and coordinated execution of research, teaching, and/or outreach projects in areas of mutual interest.”

The agreement establishes that exchange activities will be implemented, during which the objectives, implementing units, operational details, and duration of these activities will be formulated. Furthermore, the parties will exchange all types of data, observations, reports, publications, and any other documentation necessary for the work that the organizations carry out jointly or separately.

For López Armengol, these meetings are of great importance for university in particular and for the university system in general. Higher education institutions must support actions related to the promotion of Human Rights, and in this sense, advance in the process of internationalization. To achieve this, it is essential to strengthen the tools available through organizations such as the CIPDH.
