2012 Postgraduate courses with JICA

    The UNLP International Cooperation Agency (ICA) is proud to announce the Training and Dialog Program, the latest offering of courses available for the 2012-13 school year through the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA). This program is geared towards those who are engaged in research or administration in each of the subjects offered.
    The Training and Dialog Program in Japan is, since its inception in 1954, one of the main activities of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA).  Since its establishment, the JICA has contributed to Argentina’s development by providing professional training, as well as other technical cooperation programs; more than 2,500 Argentine professionals have participated in different courses in JICA’s training in Japan.
    The ICA is an organization that was specially created by UNLP  to promote training of professionals in international relations, carrying out of cooperative projects, collaboration between countries with a similar level of development, and an increase in outreach activities beyond the country’s borders.
    The Agency, which is under the authority of Secretary of Institutional Relations of UNLP, promotes scientific exchange to bring about social development in the areas of health and education, to strengthen civil society, and to preserve the environment.  Furthermore, this will foster knowledge transfer, export growth,  productive development, and the development and strengthening of small and medium businesses.

    Within the framework of the large offering of training classes, materials are already available for the following courses: 1) Criteria & Indicators (C&I) and Forest Certification for Asia and Latin American countries, 2)Information Management Technology for Land use and Natural Resources Analysis 3)Integrated Pest Management for Plant Protection.
