Salvatore Monni

Salvatore Monni is Associate Professor in Economic Policy at the Department of Economics of Roma Tre University. He holds a doctorate in Development Economics from Roma Tre University, an MA in Development Economics from Sussex University (UK) and a ‘Laurea’ degree in Economics from Sapienza University. His main research contributions relate to inequality in urban contexts. He also works on Human Development theory, co-operative sector, and Latin American studies. Over the years, Salvatore has coordinated several national and international research projects as principal investigator. Among these, three projects funded by the European Commission, one H2020 and two FP7. Author of several articles in national and international scientific journals, since 2019 Editor in chief of “Insights into Regional Development” and since 2013 Associate Editor “International Journal of Environmental Policy and Decision Making”. In 2016 he founded Mapparoma, a think tank on urban inequalities in the city of Rome that over the years has published books, reports, and a lively blog www.mapparoma.info
